Lady Cats Pounce on the Tigers

March 25, 2011

Jade O'Donnell, #13, and Kayl Bryant #22, were named the 2010-2011 Antlers Basketball Homecoming King and Queen

The Antlers Bearcats and Lady Cats celebrated their Basketball Homecoming on Friday, January 21, 2011 at the Bearcat Gym.  The 2010-2011 Antlers Basketball Homecoming King and Queen were named as # 22 for the Bearcats- Kayl Bryant and #13 for the Lady Cats - Jade O’Donnell.

The Lady Cats were up first against the Tushka Lady Tigers and O’Donnell showed that she wasn’t only a pretty face by sinking a 3-pointer right off the get go.  The Lady Cats showed dominance early in the game and took the score quickly to 7-0 in the first 2 1/2 minutes.  At the end of the first period the score was Lady Cats 20, Lady Tigers 8.

The second period was much of the same, the Lady Cats kept up their aggressive and physical playing style and Lady Cats couldn’t do anything to stop them.

Feeling comfortable with their lead, the Lady Cats coach rotated out  the starters and allowed the underclassmen to have some playing time.  At the end of the game the final score was Antlers Lady Cats 64, Tushka Lady Tigers 36.
