Larry C. Cole was born April 27, 1953 in Antlers to Henry Charles and Trummie Nora (Dunlap) Cole. He passed from this life June 7, 2011 in Antlers at the age of 58. Larry enjoyed fishing, watching chickens, horses, his beagle "Sadie" & most of all, taking care of his grandkids. Larry was preceded in death by his parents: Henry & Trummie Cole; brothers: R.C. Cole, Marvin Cole, & Willard Cole; sisters: Velvie Bates & Thelma White. He is survived by his wife: Lanette of the home; sons: Larry Allen Cole & Donna and Al Ray Cole & wife Kelly of Antlers; stepsons: Ryan Patrick Butler & wife Eugenia of Antlers, & Jimmy Kyle of Clayton; grandchildren: Ashley Kay Cole of Tupelo, Christopher Cole of Antlers, and Brittany, Heather, & Nataleigh Cole all of Antlers; step-grandchildren: Dena Cline, Timothy Byers, Austin Byers, Micah Byers, Jacy Butler, & Shelby Butler, Tasha & Jeremy Jordan, & Brook Cole all of Antlers, and Austin Fortenberry of Atoka; great grandchildren: Christopher Dale Coffelt & Jayden Wright; brothers: H.C. Cole of Wilburton, J.W. Cole & wife Margaret of Antlers, Gene Cole & wife Belle of Antlers, J.C. Cole & wife Janet of Antlers, Arthur Cole & wife Judy of Big Cedar, Steve Cole of Antlers, Marty Cole & wife Jeanne of Antlers, Carl Cole of Antlers, & Mark Cole of Antlers; sisters: Mae Standridge, Margaret Ludlow & husband Roy of Antlers; special friends: Patricia Cole, Barbara “Snookum” Figgins, Dalton & Payton Calder; as well as many other relatives and friends. Funeral service were held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 10, 2011 at the Roundup Cowboy Church in Antlers with Charlie Mueller officiating. Musical selections included: “Long Black Train,” “Go Rest High On That Mountain” and “Daddy’s Hands.” Pallbearers included: Al Cole, Larry Cole, Ryan Butler, Charles Cole, Steve “Tubby” Cole and Joey Eden. Honorary pallbearers were Jimmy Kyle, Justin Eden, Barbara “Snookum” Figgins and Lee Cole. Interment followed at the Antlers City Cemetery in Antlers.
