Law enforcement busy over weekend

A woman was arrested over the weekend with charges against her for being a fugitive from justice. Amanda Dean Smith, 33 of Haskell, was taken to jail in Pushmataha County on a warrant from Lamar County, Texas, for uttering a forged financial instrument and then fleeing from justice.

Smith had a bond of $9,999.00 set and will go in front of Judge Jana Wallace on December 11, 2013 for her preliminary hearing.

The Antlers Police Department arrested a man on N.E. “D” Street in Antlers for driving under suspension, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after an officer noticed an expired tag and witnessed the vehicle make an erratic turn onto North “D” street off of Main.
