Letter to the Editor

October 25, 2012

Dear Editor,

I would like to see an op-ed page in the paper. I have always found opinions, editorials and letter to the editor of great interest. I bet I’m not the only one.

This is a very good way to measure what is important to a community. This should be of great interest to the policy makers, people in political office and business people.
Your consideration is appreciated.

Dear Butch,

I couldn’t agree more. We have been running a notice in the paper for the last month or so urging our readers to send Letters to the Editor for publication. As of yet, this is the first we have received. We will continue to encourage our customers, readers, and community members to send these letters to the office, drop them off or email them to us.

Letters to the Editor are a great way for the community to show and express what they like, or dislike, concerns and praises for things that are happening in the community.

I do understand the community’s hesitation. In the past many letters have been received and not published. This is no longer the case. With our new direction we ask our readers to have faith in the fact that we are striving to make this publication something they can be proud of, and also be a part of.

Thank you,
Tracy Steffenson
