Mary L. Lange

Mary L. Lange was born March 26, 1925 in Star City, AR., to William Howard and Delia (Cook) McWhorter. She passed from this life on November 7, 2011, in Hugo, at the age of 86. Mary attended Cosmetology School in Houston, TX. She practiced cosmetology for over 50 years, owning the Classy Cutters Salon in Antlers for over 20 years. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star - Chapter 415 in Humble, TX. Mary was a member of Antlers First Baptist Church. She was a people person and enjoyed spending time with family & friends. Mary was preceded in death by her husband: A.W. (Sonny) Lange, Jr.; parents: William Howard & Delia McWhorter; and a brother: Howard Fred McWhorter. She is survived by her daughter: Barbara Covert & husband Robert of Antlers; granddaughter: Lisa Covert Linn of Hugo; great-grandchildren: James Covert-Sossamon & wife Robin of Antlers, Candice Linn, Kayla Linn, & Keena Linn all of Hugo; great-great grandchildren: Luke Covert-Sossamon, Landon Covert-Sossamon, Kale Bates, Kole Bates, & Kyndal Bates; numerous nieces, nephews, & cousins; as well as many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m on Thursday, November 10, 2011 at the Antlers First Baptist Church with Reverend Aaron Reed officiating. Music led by Doug Troxell. Pallbearers are Bob Holley, Jim Schutts, James Covert-Sossamon, Jimmy Butler, George Norman and Wiley Harrison. Honorary pallbearers are Jimmy David McWhorter, Charles Cox, Robert Moore and Dan Henderson. Interment will follow at the Hall Cemetery in Antlers.
