Miss RHS to take place March 17th

The twenty first annual Miss Rattan High School Scholarship Pageant will be held on March 17, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at the Rattan Gymnasium. Eleven beautiful and talented young ladies will be competing for the crown of Miss Rattan High School (RHS) and over $9,000.00 in scholarships and prizes.

The night will begin with the contestants performing to this year’s hit, “Runway.” The contestants are judged on interview, introduction, talent and evening gown.

The contestants are selected by their peers in school clubs and organizations to compete for Miss RHS and must maintain their grades to be eligible. This year Brianna Chiles will represent the Freshman Class; Stepheney Haddox represents Basketball; Shayla Caldwell represents the Senior Class; Brittany Joslin represents the Junior Class; Sarah Williams represents FCCLA; Robin Ruffin represents the Yearbook; Michaela England will represent 4-H; Angelica Smith will represent the Rodeo Pivot Team; Jordan Awtry represents FCA; Skyler Jackson will represent Baseball and Emiley Montgomery will represent FFA..

The young ladies will be escorted by some of Rattan’s finest young men. They are: Douglas Farokhnia, Landon Carper, Colby Chandler, Cameron Waldrin, Jace Branton, Budle Johnson, Matthew Heady, Cody Clawson, Derek Wolfe, Tyler McAdams and Dustin Wolfe.

Also returning to the stage and performing will be Miss RHS 2011, Carleigh Crowley; Miss RHS 2009, Kristen Hedge; Miss RHS 2008, Tansy Grimmett; Tiffaney Noel and the Billy Trio. Mrs. Tascha (Lawless) Bond, Mrs. Oklahoma 2005 and Miss RHS 1992, will be the emcee for the evening.

This year’s pageant guarantees to be an evening full of fantastic entertainment, amazing talents and beautiful young ladies vying for college scholarships in hopes of becoming Miss RHS 2012! We will also be giving away the 47” Visio Flat Screen TV the contestants sold chances on. If you haven’t purchased a chance on it yet, you can purchase them at the door. We would like to thank everyone for helping to make the Miss RHS Scholarship Pageant a huge success!
