Myrtle Georgia Beasley was born May 7, 1920 in Blanco to George F. and Fannie Mae (Gibbins) Creswell. She passed from this life August 15, 2011 in Antlers at the age of 91 years, 3 months, & 8 days. Myrtle lived all her life in Antlers. She was of the Pentecostal faith. She enjoyed watching her flowers grow, spending time with her family and friends, and loving on her grandkids every chance she got. Myrtle was preceded in death by her first husband Babe C. “Son” Watson; second husband: Sloney Eldon Beasley; daughter: Joyce (Watson) Snider; great-granddaughter: Sharon Elizabeth Heflin; parents: George & Fannie Creswell; and two brothers: Levi Baxter & Jimmie Baxter. She is survived by her sons: Tony Beasley & wife Julie of Antlers, Johnny Beasley of Albion, Henry Watson & wife Edna of Antlers; daughter: Mary Sheets & husband Kenneth of Soper; brother: George Creswell of Illinois; one niece: Marie Nelson of California; 18 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; numerous other nieces & nephews; as well as many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 19, 2011 at the Mills & Coffey Chapel in Antlers with Pastor Larry Crawford officiating. Musical selections will include: “Long Black Train,” “Sissy’s Song” and “Holes In The Floor Of Heaven.” Pallbearers are: Bryan Watson, Scotty Hamill, Glenn Sheets, Clint Sheets, Micheal Cathey Beasley, Henry Beasley and Hank Beasley. Honorary Pallbearers are David Phillips, George Phillips ,Robert Phillips, Dr. Wayne Flatt, Steve Hill, Michael Brittingham, John Ferguson and Stanley Johnson.
