A wellness program for cancer survivors

This program is an 8 week wellness program designed for adult cancer survivors (men and women) who are looking to reduce the severity of therapy side effects, preventing unwanted weight changes and improving energy levels and self-esteem.

Push Against Cancer is a program where survivors are able to meet with a Certified Fitness Trainer/Cancer Survivor twice a week to develop a program that includes strength training, cardiovascular conditioning and stretching/relaxation components.

This program includes an 8 week FREE membership and offers participants the chance to meet with fellow cancer survivors as an extra means of support. A final goal of the program is to assist participants in developing their own physical activity program so they can continue to practice a healthy lifestyle as a way of life.

Classes will meet twice a week, Tuesdays and Thursdays, for 8 weeks at PUSH Gym, beginning in October 2013.
