Push resident critical after collision

May 10, 2012

On May 2, 2012 at approximately 5:42 p.m. Cristy Kyle, a 34 year old white female from Tuskahoma, was transported by ambulance to Talihina Hospital where she was then flown by Life Flight to St. John’s Hospital in Tulsa where she was listed in critical condition with multiple injuries.

The collision occurred on HWY 63 at Buffalo Valley in Latimer County. The driver of the vehicle, Robert Morris, a 36 year old white make from Whitesboro, was also transported to Talihina and then flown to St. John’s Hospital in Tulsa. He was listed in stable condition with internal injuries.

The 2000 Chevy Pickup, driven by Morris, was traveling eastbound on HWY 63 when the vehicle swerved left and over-corrected causing the vehicle to go into a broadside. The vehicle then departed the right side of the road, flipped end over end one complete time and the passenger, Kyle, was pinned for approximately 10 minutes before being freed by Buffalo Valley and Talihina Fire Departments using the Hurst Tool.

This collision was investigated by OHP Trooper Tim Baker, #260, of the Latimer County Detachment. He was assisted by Trooper Chris Dennis, #223, of the Pushmataha County Detachment and the Buffalo Valley and Talihina Fire Departments.
