Robert Emery ‘Bob’ Maleport

Robert Emery ‘Bob’ Maleport was born July 7, 1930 in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, to Emery and Marie (Niskanen) Maleport. He passed from this life December 9, 2012 in Antlers, at the age of 82. Bob served his country in the United States Coast Guard from 1944-1957, during the Korean Conflict. He married Clara June Bond on August 23, 1954 in Washington State and together they raised four children. Bob worked as a formica mechanic until his retirement. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Bob was preceded in death by his wife: June Maleport; parents: Emery & Marie Maleport; son: Larry Maleport; daughter: Pat Thomas; and a brother: Allen Maleport. He is survived by his children: Robert Maleport & wife Rose of Michigan and Marie O'Dell & husband John of Lone Grove; grandchildren: Misty Gordon, Gregory Worn, Clayton Glaesmann, and Dewayne, Randy, Jody & Bradley Thomas; sisters: Barbara Hinton of Michigan & Elizabeth Melanson of California; 13 great-grandchildren: 6 great great-grandchildren; a special nephew: David Joiner & wife Daisy and Sandra Joiner; as well as many other relatives and friends. Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, December 13, 2012 at Kosoma Cemetery. Family and friends may send online condolences at www.millscoffey.com.
