Robin “Pete” Wilkins

Pete Wilkins was born on April 21, 1956 to Melvin Lloyd Wilkins and Chesolene Wilkins Thurman in Hugo. He passed from this life on Friday, July 13, 2012 in Cloudy at the age of 56. Pete had lived all of his life in the Rattan/Cloudy area. He married Evelyn Rose Bryant on December 20, 1975 in Antlers. He enjoyed giving advice, buying cattle and driving his granddaughter, Kimber on the ranger. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Rattan and graduated from Rattan High School in 1974. Pete believed in being a good neighbor and was a loving husband, father and friend to all. He will be truly missed by all who knew him. Pete was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Lloyd Wilkins and a niece, Harolyn Rhae Davis. He is survived by: his wife, Evelyn Rose Wilkins of Cloudy; son, Fred Wilkins also of Cloudy; mother, Chesolene Wilkins Thurman of Oleta; step-father, Marvin Thurman of Cloudy; siblings, Melvadean Davis of Rattan; Mary Lou Wilkins also of Rattan and Leah Wilkins of Durant; grandchild, Kimber Rose Wilkins of Idabel; nephews, Colton Rard and Kash Wilkins; Aunt and Uncle, Fredalene and Wayne Holder; three cousins, Amber Holder, Waynette Holder and Clark Holder along with many other family and friends. The family received friends on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. at the Miller & Miller Funeral Home in Hugo. Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 in the Rattan Gymnasium with Bro. Tyson Thurman and Bro. Brent Coffey officiating. Interment followed at the Cloudy Cemetery.
