Sandra Jane Luginbill was born August 6, 1941 in Enid to Jack and Linnie (Williamson) VanOsdol. She departed this life on March 3, 2012 in Antlers at the age of 70, after an eight year battle with cancer. Sandra was one of three children born to the late Jack & Linnie (Williamson) VanOsdol of Jet. Sandra was born in Enid then raised in Jet and graduated from Jet High School in 1959. Sandra married Lennis Luginbill February 25, 1961 in Jet. They moved numerous times throughout Oklahoma, Kansas and New Mexico with the Bureau of Reclamation until settling in Antlers in 1982. She graduated with a nursing degree from Cameron University and was a devoted nurse for 29 years at Pushmataha County Hospital. Sandra was an avid quilter and a member of the Pushmataha Quilters Guild. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She also loved any activities involving her grandchildren. Sandra was preceded in death by her parents: Jack & Linnie VanOsdol. She is survived by her devoted husband of 51 years, Lennis; loving daughter, Julie Luginbill Darras and husband Herb Darras of Ada; devoted son, Melvin Luginbill and wife Karla of Antlers. She was blessed with three beautiful grandchildren, Michael, Kaylen, and Raysen who were the true joys of her life. She is also survived by one brother, Buddy VanOsdol of Jet; one sister, L. Louise VanOsdol of Ft. Smith, AR; a niece, Jimmi Ruth Lossing, and nephews Sean Lossing and Phillip Jay Luginbill. Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at First United Methodist Church in Antlers with Brent Franks & Reverend Robert Duran officiating. Music was â€śBlessed Assuranceâ€ť by David Smith and â€śHow Great Thou Artâ€ť by David Smith & Dee McKinney. Pallbearers included: Scotty Fuller, Dean Eaves, Tyler Fuller, Joe Morris, Gary Shaw, & Phillip Jay Luginbill. Honorary Pallbearers included: Leonard Luginbill, Bill Luginbill, & Daryl Nichols.
