Search warrant yields marijuana

The District 17 Drug Task Force served a search warrant on the residence of Lonnie Griggs and came away with more than one bag of marijuana. The residence is located in Antlers.

On July 26, 2012, the Task Force entered the residence and found Lonnie Griggs in his bedroom. After the residence was cleared to make sure no other individuals or dangers were in the home, Task Force Officer B.J. Hedgecock found two sets of scales, a black safe that contained a large bag consisting of a green leafy substance, a small bag consisting of a green leafy substance, a plastic container consisting of a green leafy substance and $488.00.

All items were found in Griggs bedroom.

Griggs stated to Hedgecock that there was not need to search the rest of the residence because what they were looking for was all in his bedroom. All ceased items were placed in the Drug Task Force evidence locker at the Pushmataha County Sheriff’s Department. The green leafy substance that was found in the bags and container field tested as marijuana.
