Sportsman Club to keep 2011 offices in 2012

January 9, 2012

January Meeting of the Pushmataha County Sportsman Club

Members of the Pushmataha County Sportsman Club will hold their regular monthly meeting on Thursday, January 12. The club normally meets at 7:30 p.m. at the Wildlife Heritage Center and Museum. However, the club has agreed to postpone its meeting time to allow the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife to host a public meeting on proposed wildlife regulation changes. Their meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m. at the Wildlife Heritage Center. The Pushmataha County Sportsman Club members will meet immediately after the public meeting.

The main items on the agenda will be finalizing this year’s bass tournament schedule and measuring deer antlers to determine the winners of the fall deer season contest. Members that entered the contest and were successful in their hunts should bring their antlers to the meeting to be scored. This will be the only time antlers will be measured.

The January meeting is also when club members elect new officers for the coming year. No one was nominated however, to run against the current officers. Current officers are Billy Latham-president, Judd Thomas-vice president, Ellis Silvey-treasurer, and Billy Hensley-secretary. These officers will remain in office for 2012.

All members are urged to attend the meeting and those interesting in joining the club are invited to attend as well.
