Superintendent’s Corner

September 8, 2011

By Cary Ammons
Antlers Public Schools Superintendent

School is in full-swing at Antlers. Students are hustling back and forth between classes, ball games are being played and buses are traveling everywhere. With the change of weather starting to take place over the Labor Day weekend, I would like to remind parents to prepare their children for changes in the weather such as colder mornings and rainy days.

All of us seem to have busier schedules than every before, but please take the time to sit down with your child and look over their schoolwork, read a book (maybe just a few pages or a chapter), and prepare them for school each evening.

I would like to inform all parents that the first Parent/Teacher Meeting will be held September 22, 2011 from 3:20-10:00 p.m. Please schedule with your child’s teacher, a time to meet and discuss any questions you may have or just let the teacher know how much you appreciate them for the work they do.

In closing, we encourage all parents and patrons of Antlers to get out and support the Bearcats!
