Authorities are looking for a suspect after a late-night shooting in Choctaw County left two men dead. Officials say the shooting happened late Saturday night at an apartment complex in Hugo.
According to the OSBI, Hugo police received a call around 11 p.m. on Saturday to 541 Southwind Acres Apartments off South 15th Street. Upon arrival, they found two men had been shot multiple times. Both victims were pronounced dead.
The OSBI says suspect Dawalyon Rainey, 33, of Hugo, goes by the nickname "Hog." Agents say that a witness told them that the suspect came into the apartment and shot both men, and then ran away.
Rainey is a black male, stands 6' 2" tall, and weighs approximately 175 pounds. An arrest warrant has been issued for two counts of first degree murder. Bond has been set at $5,000,000. According to the OSBI, Rainey is being considered armed and dangerous and civilians are asked to proceed with extreme caution of Rainey is seen. Do not make contact with the suspect and call you local police department, Hugo PD or the OSBI hotline as soon as possible.
