Suzanne Throne

Funeral services for Suzanne Throne, 77, of Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Revs. Steve DeShazo and Steve Wilburn will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. Mrs. Thronepassed from this life on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at her home. She was born January 28, 1935 in Ada, to P. L. and Pearl Neal Gassaway of Coalgate. She attended schools in Midway, Atoka, and Antlers. She attended East Central University in Ada. She married Bill Bussell of Antlers in 1951. Three daughters were born to them, Belinda Lee, Jenne Beth and Rebecca. In 1960 the family moved to Las Vegas, NV. They resided there for five years, and from there to Big Bear Lake, CA for five years. Upon the death of her husband, Bill Bussell, the family returned to Lehigh, and then on to Ada in the summer of 1970. Suzanne went to work as the office manager for Dr. Michael Hunsaker, M.D. in 1972 and retired in June, 1992. She married Bud Throne in May, 1979. Mrs. Throne was a member of Francis Baptist Church, a past-Regent of Ada’s Chimney Hill Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and she served in other capacities of the local DAR. She also served as a volunteer at Valley View Regional Hospital. Survivors include her husband, Bud Throne, of the home; six children, Belinda Runnells and husband Tom, Jenne Lofton, Rebecca Haines and husband Lynn, Roy Throne, Larry Throne and wife Tami, all of Ada, and Lynda Reser and husband Rusty of Owasso; twelve grandchildren, Charlie McSwain, Casey McSwain, Bill Talley, Tracy Talley, Lance Haines, Riley Haines, Luke Tarr, Gina Throne, Katy Jones, Whitney Holly, Meredith Warehime, and Mandy Coffman; 15 great grandchildren, Lane Haines, Londyn Haines, George Talley, Melissa Talley, Madison Talley, Hunter Talley, Logan Tarr, Jake Throne, Baylee Hoskison, Tara Hoskison, Caynen Jones, Cooper Holly, Bristol Holly, Skylar Coffman and Tola Carter; two great great grandchildren, Layla Hatton and Cainen Harris; three brothers, Michael Gassaway, Tracbuco Canyon, CA, Pete Wells, Panaca, NV, and Neal Servais, Coalgate; and one sister, Sherri Beese, West Port, WA.
