Get to know your candidates for office. I know that’s kind of tough for national candidates such as presidents but for local candidates there are plenty of opportunities. Take advantage of them.

These people are asking us for a job so interview the,. At least go to a political speaking and get a feel for the man or woman as the case may be.

One thing about this area is that there are plenty of venues to go and listen to the candidates speak. Everything from political venues, political speakings at the community centers, candidate sponsored bbq and fish fries to the Tea Party meetings.

Don’t be afraid to talk to the candidates. Ask questions. That’s what they are there for. They want you to. That’s a one on one chance to earn your vote.

And if I may make a suggestion, talk to all of the candidates before you make your mind up. After all, they’re asking us for a job and we want to hire the best person for the position.
