We had a couple of very interesting speakers at last Friday’s Push for a Better America meeting. Jimmy Duncan, Pushmataha County Sheriff, and Mark Rogers, Pushmataha Hospital Administrator.
Jimmy spoke about the duties of the Sheriff. It was very eye opening. Sounds to me like more of a management position. What with budget concerns, personnel concerns, the jail, laws and state mandates, duties for the court, not to mention law breakers and evil doers and everything that entails.
Mark Rogers spoke to us about the hospital and their summer intern program. Young people who are interested in a career in the medical field should check into this. Inquire at the Pushmataha County Hospital Administration office. Sounds like a good program to me and it’s right here in Antlers.
If there is anything that the Tea Party needs to address contact one of our core group members. We are always looking for timely subjects and speakers to make our meetings interesting and informative. Core group members are Larry Joslin, Terry Vaughn, Judy and Jim Calhoun, Jerry Wilson, Fred Kimball, Kenneth Blan and myself.
