Three local stores sell to minors

February 15, 2013

Region 6 Regional Prevention Coordinators partnered with the Oklahoma Alcohol Beverage Law Enforcement Agency and the Antlers Police Department in conducting a string of Alcohol Compliance Checks in Pushmataha County.

According to reports there were nine stores that were checked in the county, three of which were out of compliance; these stores included liquor stores and convenience stores.

The purpose of Alcohol Compliance Checks is intended to ensure that all stores selling 3.2 beer or alcohol are in compliance with state law, and are taking the steps to check proper identification to prevent the sale of 3.2 beer or alcohol to persons under the age of 21.
