Tigers move on to Area after slashing their way through Regionals

The Moyers Tigers defeated the McCurtain Bulldogs in a hard fought battle on Saturday night at the Regional Championships in Ada. The Bulldogs jumped out to an early lead with hot 3-pt shooting and had the Tigers down by 11 at the end of the first quarter.

But the Tigers clawed their way back to within 3 at the half. The Tigers continued to battle and took the lead by 1 at the end of the 3rd quarter. The 4th quarter belonged to the Tigers with a 65-60 victory over the Bulldogs.

The Tigers will play for the Area Championship against the Red Oak Eagles at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 22, in Kingston.
