Wayen M. Lawless

Wayne M. Lawless was born January 31, 1923 in Sobol, to Almurn Sr. and Leona (Clark) Lawless. He passed from this life January 25, 2013, in Antlers, at the age of 89. After graduating from Antlers High School, Wayne married Sirena Hensley November 1, 1942 in Antlers. Wayne worked for several years at the Southeast Equipment Sales and he also ranched most of his life. He enjoyed gardening, catfish farming, tending to his cattle, horseback riding and reading. Most of all Wayne enjoyed spending time with his family and friends along with caring for his land. Wayne was preceded in death by his wife: Sirena Lawless; parents: Almurn and Leona Lawless; sisters: Lois Duniho and Syble Dummer. He is survived by his children: Curtis Lawless & wife Lena of Antlers, Barbara Nabors & husband Mike of Antlers, Mary Virden & husband Mark of Antlers, Charlotte Lawless of Edmond, Connie Moses & husband Jesse of Antlers, and Donna Stone & husband Tim of Tyler, TX; brothers: Doyle Lawless & wife Mattie of Antlers, Almurn "Shorty" Lawless & wife Patsy of Antlers; grandchildren: Brian Lawless & wife Donna, Rebecca Crawford & husband Todd, Jason Lawless & wife Sari, Monte Nabors & wife Melody, Misty Clayton & husband Chuck, Justin Moses, Christy Sheffield & husband Doug, Ashley Stone, Kacie Stone, and Gabe Stone; great grandchildren: Corey, John, Tom, Morgan, Wil, Jaci, Shelby, Jake, Jackson, Maddy, Elly, Hallie Ann, and Elizabeth; as well as many other relatives and friends. Graveside Services were held at 2:00 PM, Monday, January 28, 2013 at Antlers City Cemetery with Reverend Andy Reed & Reverend Ron Dummer officiating. Music was “How Great Thou Art”. Pallbearers included Brian Lawless, Monte Nabors, Jason Lawless, Justin Moses, Misty Clayton, Rebecca Crawford, Christy Sheffield, & Corey Sheffield. Interment followed.
