Winning students awarded for Patriot's Pen Essay Contest

Under the direction of 6th Grade Social Studies teacher Linda Hawkins, 3 students from Rattan Elementary were presented cash awards for their entries in the Patriot's Pen Essay Writing Contest sponsored by the VFW Post 8316. Ira Taylor received 1st place, Triston Tuck received 2nd place, and Kaleigh Kopp received 3rd place for their literary response to the theme, "What I Would Tell America's Founding Fathers."
