In a home game against the Eagletown Eagles on Thursday, January 13th, the Moyers Tigers were ready to show everyone what they were made of, especially the Eagles who they had lost to earlier in the season. The Tigers jumped out to an early lead but it didn’t last long as the Eagles quickly came back. #21- Brandon Slocum and #24- Jake Mattingly were on the court and playing some ball! With #22- Terrell Morgan sinking a 3 pointer at the buzzer the Tigers ended the end the first half with a score of 27 to 12.
As the second half got underway the Eagles slowly began to close the gap, but it didn’t take long for the Tigers to start making the Eagles give up turnovers with their rebounding skills and defensive presses. The Eagles began to step up and play some ball in the 4th period as they closed the Tigers lead to 15 points, but it was to little to late. The Tigers roared into a victory with a final score of 54 to 30 over the Eagles.
