On Thursday, January 13th, the Moyers Lady Tigers went claw to talon against the Eagletown Lady Eagles in a brutal games on the Tigers home court. First to get their hands on the ball were the Moyers Lady Tigers. The girls were slow to start but gave it their all as they attempted to but the ball through the net. With a few good breakaway shots by #15- Maddi Clark, #24- Shelby Clark, #23-Shelby Geary and #22 Kalli Winters, the Lady Tigers were able to keep the score within 10 going into half-time. At the half the Lady Eagles were still clutching onto the lead with a score of 20-10.
Quick ball movement caused the Lady Tigers to break coverage and they looked slightly confused as the Lady Eagles open players kept putting up the ball resulting in easy points. At the end of the 3rd the Lady Eagles were showing no mercy as the score became 32 to 12.
The Lady Eagles had one very outstanding player on the court, #5- Maranda London. London proved to be a very aggressive, fast and precise player and sunk 95% of the shots that she took to the hoop. As the 4th period started the Lady Tigers looked anything but defeated as they took the court to try to play catch-up but nothing was working in their favor. The Lady Eagles took the “W” with a final score of 46-14 over the Lady Tigers.
