The robbery of a bank in Wright City, OK, McCurtain County, ended badly on Thursday afternoon, June 16, 2011 just outside of Rattan.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol was on the scene of the shooting incident along State Highway 3.
OHP Troopers set up a roadblock near the location, west of Rattan. A short time after the initial alert, authorities witnessed the suspect vehicle and attempted to effect a traffic stop. Suspect vehicle
fled from Trooper(s), failed to stop for the roadblock and shots were fired.
There were three suspects inside the vehicle; two males and one female. Both male suspects were hit and subsequently expired from injuries. The female was taken to the Pushmataha County Sheriff's Office and held for further questioning.
No names have been released pending further investigation. The FBI, OSBI, OHP and Push County Sheriff's Office will work together to investigate the entire event.
