Edna Mae Blackwell was born October 28, 1939 in Miller, to Lloyd and Dora Mae (Cochran) Orm. She passed from this life August 20, 2011 in Owasso, at the age of 71. Edna married Bill McGuire on July 31, 1955. They were married until his passing on November 20, 1982. Edna married again, to Druce Blackwell, on May 5, 1984 in Antlers. They remained married until he too passed away in Waldron, Arkansas in 1995. Edna graduated from Professional Seamstress School, and she was a member of the Gospel Light Baptist Church of Charleston, South Carolina. She loved to sew, travel, read books, & dance. She was the President of the Donny McGuire Fan Club, but most of all, her enjoyment came from spending time with her family & friends. Edna was preceded in death by her first husband: Bill McGuire; second husband: Druce Blackwell; parents: Lloyd & Dora Orm; brother: Thomas Orm; sisters: Lillie Pearl Hobbs & Doris Ann Tugman; a granddaughter: Samantha Rhodes; and her little dog: Penny. She is survived by her children: Mary DeZuani & husband Ivo of Newalla, Bill McGuire & wife Curistie of Antlers, Dewayne McGuire & wife Virginia of Antlers, Bonnie Malone of Poteau, and Donny McGuire & wife Tammy of Uniontown, Arkansas; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; as well as many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, August 25, 2011 at the Christian Family Fellowship in Antlers. with Reverend G.W. Pigg and Pastor Billy Hunter officiating. Musical selections will include: “I’ll Fly Away”, “How Great Thou Art”, “When We All Get To Heaven” , “Amazing Grace” ~ Performed by Brandy Sitton and “Supper Time” ~ Performed by Bertha Bloodworth. Pallbearers will be: Gerald Maynard, Ben Sitton, Jonathan Lewis, Ivo DeZuani, Shane Hindman and Bradley Lewis. Honorary pallbearers will be: Terry Cripe, Calvin Collins, Barry Diamond and Kavin Bell. Interment will follow in the Antlers City Cemetery in Antlers.
