James Henry Mize was born on February 2, 1937 in Fanshawe to the late Lillie Mae (Jones) and Francis Cecil Mize. He passed from this life on Monday, October 24, 2011 in Wilburton at the age of 74. James was the husband of the late Billie Jane Mize. They married in 1967 in Seminole, TX. He was an Air Man 3rd Class of the U.S. Army Air Corp. James also worked in the oil field and attended the Son Shine Fellowship Church in Wilburton. James was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 4 brothers and 4 sisters. He is survived by his sons: James Ronald Mize and wife, Wilma Jean, of Wilburton, James Darrell Mize and wife, Tina of Wilburton, Gerald Mize and wife, Cheryl of Arkansas.; daughters: Alice Bingham of Ellijay, GA., Donna Robinson and husband, Jerry of Kibler, AR., Tam (Pete) Shell and husband, Jackie of Arkadelphia, AR.; sister: Janie Mize Kappes of Maysville; niece: Carol Snow; nephews: Randall Mize, Jimmy Smith, Bobby Joe Mize and several other nieces and nephews; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren, and countless friends. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 28, 2011 at the Son Shine Fellowship Church in Wilburton with Rev. Ronnie Davis officiating. Interment followed at the Maxey Cemetery in Wister. Pallbearers included: Randall Mize, Leroy Mize, Kevin Kappes, Donnie Holland, Keith Humfeleet and Kyle Francis. Honorary Pallbearers were: grandsons: Jimmy Robinson, Donnie Holland III, Jody Mize, Samuel Bingham, Joseph Robinson, Bradley Mize and Daniel Mize. Arrangements were entrusted to the Waldrop Funeral Home in Wilburton.
