Jack Hedrick was born on April 18, 1920 to Wade and Ville (Janway) Hedrick of Antlers. He passed from this life on April 5, 2012 in Tulsa at the age of 91. Jack served in the U.S. Army during World War II and obtained the rank of Tec 5. He was a retired rancher and surveyor from the State of Oklahoma. He married Janice Satterfield-Owens on March 6, 1993 in Antlers. Jack loved traveling, gardening, ranching, fishing, gospel singing, and - most importantly – spending time with family and friends. He was a lifelong resident of Antlers. He was preceded in death by a daughter: Wyvon Griffin; a brother: James Hedrick; and a sister: Jewell Haddox. He is survived by his wife: Janice of the home; one daughter: Mary “Corky” Mathis and husband, Danny of Grant; son-in-law: Wes Griffin; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews, nieces, and friends. Graveside services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 9, 2012 at Hall Cemetery with Pastor Jim Lawrence officiating. Music included: “A Beautiful Life”, “What a Lovely Name”, & “Wings of a Dove”. Pallbearers were: Rocky Mathis, Eddie Butler, Raymond Mathis, Les Griffin, Perry Griffin, & Miles Butler.
