Push for a Better America held their May meeting last Friday evening at Molina’s restaurant. This is a week early due to this weeks Memorial Day weekend.
We had a report from the state GOP convention by Push County delegate Larry Joslin. Larry also presented excerpts from the Oklahoma Republican Party platform.
The Push County Republican Party chairman, Jim Gentry, also spoke with us about the state of the Republican Party in our county and state. There are more of us in this county than ever before.
As Tea Party members we would like to hear from the Democrat Party representatives. We like to be informed on all fronts. We would be particularly interested in seeing a copy of the Democrat Party platform. Even in this Internet age, we can’t seem to find it. Surely there is a published Democrat Party platform stating beliefs, principles and positions on issues affecting the state and the country.
Howard Houchen announced his run for the state Senate. Howard is a Republican from Hugo and will be running for Senate District 5. Howard has been involved in politics for a number of years and if elected will be able to hit the ground running. He won’t need a “break in” period. If you get the chance to hear him speak, you need to.
The next Tea Party meeting will be June 22nd.
