Clinton Allen Daniel was born February 11, 1949 in Redding, CA., to Clinton U.V. & Jean (Baker) Daniel. He passed from this life June 21, 2012 at his home in Cloudy at the age of 63. Allen graduated from Wichita Falls High School in 1967 and entered the United States Army shortly thereafter. He was assigned to the 16th Army Hospital Division as an E5 during the Vietnam War. He was awarded the NDSM, VCM and USM and was honorably discharged in 1973. Allen then enlisted in the United States Navy in 1975, and served until he was honorably discharged in 1979. He was on the USS Guam and received Meritorious Unit Commendation and the President’s Unit Commendation during his naval service. Allen moved to the Cloudy area around 1990. He was an avid “tinkerer” with cars and machinery. He could take anything apart and put it back together. He was thought of as good and helpful, and a blessing to his neighbors. Allen was preceded in death by his parents: Clinton & Jean Daniel. He is survived by his siblings: LaVern Daniel of Hugo, Cynthia Daniel-Teague & husband Jim of Tioga, TX, and Gary Daniel of Clayton; two nieces: Brenda Posey of Whitesboro, TX., and Sandy Dickson of Cloudy; numerous great nieces and nephews; as well as many other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Rattan Volunteer Fire Department, PO Box 261, Rattan, OK 74562 OR Cloudy Volunteer Fire Department, HC67 Box 1465, Rattan, OK 74562. Graveside services were held at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at Rattan Cemetery with Bob McClough officiating. Interment will follow.
