The Board of County Commissioners of Pushmataha County recently received an outstanding achievement award from the Association of County Commissioners of Oklahoma (ACCO) for attending a series of human resource workshops and ACCO safety meetings. Pushmataha County also received a $2866.36 premium discount for attending these workshops.
The premium discount was based on each commissioner’s attendance at workshops that were conducted by ACCO at the following meetings: ACCO Conferences, ACCO Strategic Planning Committee workshops, ACCO New County Officers Training and ACCO safety meetings.
County commissioners were eligible to receive one point for attending workshops held at these four meetings. The accumulated point totals were utilized for premium discounts applicable to 2012/2013 liability insurance premiums. Each county commissioner was required to sign both in and out in order to receive points for attending these workshops.
The premium discounts were implemented by ACCO to not only encourage county commissioners to attend these workshops but to also let their local constituents know that the time and expense your county commissioners incurs to attend these workshops will reduce the county’s liability insurance premiums and most importantly taxpayer dollars.
