Pansy Dorcella Arnold, of Atoka, passed from this life on Thursday, January 2, 2014 at the age of 82. She was born on Wednesday, May 20, 1931, to Rufus and Boody Elsie (Short) Smith, at Milburn. Pansy went to school at Lone Pine and Atoka High School. Pansy was a Homemaker. She married Walter on September 7. 1948 in Antlers. Pansy was a member of Centerpoint Freewill Baptist Church were she was a Sunday School teacher and the church treasurer. Pansy loved to sew, gardening, and her flowers. Pansy was preceded in death by her Husband: Walter Arnold; Parents: Rufus and Boody Elsie (Short) Smith; Infant daughter: Pansy D. Arnold; Grandson: Bradley Martin; and Brothers: W.E Smith, Norman Smith, Alonzo Smith, and Cletus Smith. She is survived by her children: Charlotte Martin and husband Larry of Centerpoint, Lena Long and husband Jackie of Lane, Veachel Arnold and wife Anita of Broken Arrow; and Marquietta Griffin of Durant; Grandchildren: Brandy Starnes and husband Patrick of Centerpoint, Ronnie Long and wife Shellie of Stringtown, Anthony "Tony" Long of Lane, Eric Long of Centerpoint, Matthew Arnold of Broken Arrow, Shalyn Hector and husband Thomas of Broken Arrow, Shannon Arnold of Broken Arrow, Ethan Arnold of Broken Arrow, Natasha Arnold of Lane, Michelle Owings and husband Craig of Durant, and Donnie Duncan of Centerpoint; Sister-in-laws: Ollie Smith of Stringtown, Imogean Dunham of Atoka, Virginia Hall of Farris; 21 Great Grandchildren, 3 Great Great Grandchildren, along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Family night was held on Sunday, January 5, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services were held on Monday, January 6, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Centerpoint Freewill Baptist Church with Veachel Arnold officiating. Interment followed at the Darwin Cemetery. Pallbearers included: Ronnie Long, Tony Long, Eric Long, Donnie Duncan, Craig Owings, Patrick Starnes, Matthew Arnold and Ethan Arnold.
