February 8th
Hundreds of students from across the state recently competed in the 66th annual Southeast District Livestock Show at Eastern Oklahoma State College in Wilburton. The show is jointly sponsored by the Eastern Agriculture Division and the Wilburton Lions Club. There were 413 swine, 108 sheep, 159 goats and 124 cattle entered in the show.
On Tuesday, January 29th, our Bearcats traveled to Valliant to take on Coach Aaron Noel’s Bulldogs, who we haven’t been able to beat in nine years. Our Bearcats knew this game would be a tough one, especially on the Bulldogs homecoming night, and they were prepared to go hard all four quarters.

Antlers Police Department’s Officer Stewart Stanfield responded to a call from the Garden Walk Apartments in Antlers after a neighbor reported hearing children crying, yelling and items being thrown in a neighboring apartment.
According to reports, Officer Stanfield arrived at the apartment complex just in time to see an adult female screaming for help while running with a baby carriage with a small child inside, and trying to hold onto two female children who were crying. The female was identified as Shelia Knox.
Average retail gasoline prices in Oklahoma have risen 13.8 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $3.16/g yesterday, according to GasBuddy's daily survey of 2,294 gas outlets in Oklahoma. This compares with the national average that has increased 4.5 cents per gallon in the last week to $3.31/g, according to gasoline price website GasBuddy.com.
Legal Aid Services of Oklahoma Board of Directors held its final 2012 session on December 13th in Oklahoma City. The Board of Directors is comprised of 25 representatives from member agencies across the State of Oklahoma consisting of both lawyers and clients. Lawyer representatives are selected from local bar associations and other legal organizations. Client representatives are selected from clients and agencies who service our clients.
The Pushmataha County OSU Cooperative Extension Service in Antlers would like to Welcome Julie Staiger to our office. Julie will be the new Family -Consumer Sciences and Half Time 4-H educator for our county.
