With extreme fire weather danger anticipated for the weekend (April 15-17), Gov. Mary Fallin joined the Oklahoma emergency management, forestry services, the National Guard and National Weather Service in reminding Oklahomans to be especially careful with outdoor activities.
On Monday, April 4, 2011 the Supreme Court of the State of Oklahoma ordered that all relief sought by petitioner and candidate for Rattan School Board Loyd Deaton be denied.
On Thursday, April 14, 2011 the Rattan School Board will be holding a special meeting at 7:30 p.m. at the Rattan High School in Ram Hall. At this meeting several questions will be answered that have been being asked by the community, parents and others. At the end of the 17 questions, the floor will be opened for any additional questions the public may have. If you feel more comfortable dropping off your questions as you enter the meeting, a drop box will be provided.
When anyone under the age of 21 is caught drinking we refer to it as underage drinking. Drinking alcohol doesn't only get your kids grounded or possibly taken to jail, it harms their growing body and brian. And recent studies show that alcohol is the drug of choice for teens, even over cigarettes and marijuana.
