With the runoff election just around the corner, it is time to finalize who you are going to vote for, if you haven't already decided.
Citizens will take to the poles again on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 to decide who will get the job of Pushmataha County Sheriff and narrow down the candidates to the final two for the position of United States Representative for District 2.
On the ballet for Pushmataha County Sheriff, you will decide between John Arthur and Terry Duncan.
As summer draws closer to it's end, school begins and the weather starts to show hints of changing, one wouldn't expect to hear that three lives have been claimed in Oklahoma after being infected with the West Nile Virus.
Last week the Oklahoma State Department of Health reported that the number of lives claimed had climbed to 3 as the WNV season begins. All three victims are reported to have been over the age of 75.
A felony warrant was issued for an Antlers man after deputies found methamphetamine in his vehicle during a traffic stop on Aug. 10.
According to information filed in district court, Rickey White, Jr., Antlers, was pulled over by Pushmataha County deputies at approximately 11:26 p.m., a half mile south of the intersection of Hwy. 3 and Belzoni Road, west of Rattan.
