In Friday's non-league game, the Antlers Bearcats knocked off the Hugo Buffaloes, by a count of 34-14.
The Bearcats scored all of their points in the first half and held the Buffaloes to 0.
During the second half the tables started to turn as the Buffaloes put 8 points on the board during the 3rd quarter and 6 during the 4th. They held the Bearcats to 0 during the sencond half of the game.
The Bearcats now own a 6-4 record.
They play next during the playoffs this Friday, Nov. 14th at 7:30 p.m. as they travel to Stroud
Weatherwise, it was a great evening for football as the Antlers Bearcats traveled to Liberty to square off against the Tigers on Thursday, October 16. The overflow crowd of Bearcat fans didn't seem to mind the long drive as they prepared to watch their team play for their third district win.
Fired up and ready to go, the Antlers Bearcats were at Pocola Friday, October 3, for their second district game of the year. Coming off a disappointing loss to Panama, the team was ready to prove their mettle. Pocola was celebrating their homecoming and the game ball was delivered via helicopter.
In their first district game of the season, the Bearcats played host to the Panama Razorbacks, September 26. Panama dominated the first quarter, making 6 first downs and scoring with 2:14 left. They continued to control the ball in the second quarter, with another 6 first downs, scoring again at the 4:49 mark. With the 2point conversion good, the game stood at 0 to 14, Razorbacks when the halftime buzzer rang.

The foundation for success continues to build for the Bearcats as head coach Kenny Speer enters his second season with the Bearcats. Prior to Speerâs arrival, Antlers had won only 1 game in three seasons.
Six starters return surrounded by young underclassmen to provide Antlers with play making abilities that will be more run-oriented than last season.
On Thursday the LadyCats had a rough start in the tournament losing to
Rattan moving them to the loser's bracket. They came back strong in their
next 2 games that afternoon winning back to back against Soper and Valliant
II. The ladies returned on Friday defeating Wright City to move back up
into the winner's bracket.

The 2014 Quad County Conference All-Conference All Star Game and team members have been set. The game will take place on Monday, March 3rd. The teams look as follows:

Your 2013/2014 Homecoming Queen is Emma Branton, who is the daughter of Ronnie & Dona Branton. Emma plays forward for the LadyCats and plans to attend ECU then OU for a degree in Engineering. Emma says her favorite memory of her senior year so far is âbecoming friends with so many new peopleâ. Congratulations Emma!
In the first home game of our 2013-2014 season, our LadyCats and Bearcats were set to play the Wilburton Diggers. Both our girls and boys team had already met the Diggers in the Pick and Shovel Invitational hosted by Hartshorne, in which our girls lost to the Lady Diggers and our boys team beat their boyâs team in a 48-40 victory.
