November 14th: Rattan High School vs. Haworth at 6:30 p.m.
November 15th: Rattan Jr. High vs. ET at 4 p.m.
November 15th: Rattan High School vs. ET at 6: 30 p.m.
November 16th: Rattan Jr. High & Elementary vs. Lane at 11:00 a.m.

The Moyers Tigers opened a much anticipated Basketball Season on Tuesday, November 1.   After an amazing rendition of the National Anthem sung by Taylor Billy, the Lady Tigers took to the court.
November 3rd
Ty Kellett, age 11, bagged his first 8 point buck opening day of muzzle loading season near Moyers while hunting with his dad. It toppped the scales at 148 pounds.
Brittany Hedgecock of Antlers killed this 6 point 172 pound buck west of Antlers on Byron Hedgecocks land.
October 27th
A new lake record has been set at Broken Bow Lake. Ivan Kroger, of Ralston, caught a 8.3 lb fish belonging to the walleye family on September 29, 2011 in an undisclosed area of the lake while fishing with Jim Raglan.
Kroger was equip with a Shimano reel and Lews rod using a spinning rod and reel method with hard baits/plugs. This record breaking fish was 28â long, had a girth of 16.5â and was weighed dead/thawed at Frontier General Store.
Ronald Sappington harvested this 8 point buck which had a weight of 125 lbs, on Pushmataha/Atoka County Line Road in Pushmataha County.
The Antlers Bearcats celebrated homecoming last week as they played a conference game at home against the Marietta Indians. The festivities kicked-off with the introductions of the 2011-2012 Homecoming Court. After introductions, Hannah Leyba was crowned the 2011-2012 Antlers High School Homecoming Queen. Hannah was escorted by quarterback, Bryce Martin.

The Antlers Bearcats celebrated homecoming last week as they played a conference game at home against the Marietta Indians. The festivities kicked-off with the introductions of the 2011-2012 Homecoming Court. After introductions, Hannah Leyba was crowned the 2011-2012 Antlers High School Homecoming Queen. Hannah was escorted by quarterback, Bryce Martin.
On Thursday & Friday, September 29th & 30th, a local resident competed in the United Kennel Clubâs World Coonhound Championships in Wooster, Ohio.
Only the top 100 dogs from across the nation get invited to attend and participate in this event and Jody Goodson of Farris and his male Bluetick Hound, CH NITE CH âPRâ Goodsonâs Rowdy Bocephus were among them. This was Goodsonâs first time to ever attend this event and he and Bocephus did very well.
September 29th
On Friday night the lights were once again burning at Bearcat Stadium as the Antlers Bearcats took to the field against the Talihina Golden Tigers. During the first quarter it was clear what type of game it was going to be as the Tigers put up a total of 16 points with little effort.
