Antlers Public Library finalist on facebook for $25,000

The Antlers Public Library has the amazing opportunity to compete in State Farm’s ‘Cause An Effect’ program, which will allow the Library the chance to receive a $25,000 grant to complete its ongoing expansion, Project Patron. All they need from the community is a simple click of a button, or 10.

Friend of the Library, Deanne Taylor, recently submitted the Antlers Public Library as a possible nonprofit to be aided by State Farm's ‘Cause An Effect’ donation program. To receive the grant, the program "Book It" must be in the top 40 programs to receive the most votes on State Farm's Facebook page. Voters can be from anywhere, but must have a Facebook account. Voters can vote up to 10 times each day until May 17, 2012. Winners will be announced on May 22, 2012, so start voting NOW!!!!

State Farm received a total of 3,000 applications. "Book It" was one of the top 100 applications, which became finalists in the competition, and was one of two projects selected out of the state of Oklahoma. The 40 causes that receive the most votes by May 17th will be announced as winners on May 22, 2012 and will receive a $25,000 grant from State Farm.

To vote, enter into your browser's navigation bar. You may be asked to login to your Facebook account, if you are not already logged in. Just click VOTE up to 10 times, and then return each day to do the same. To aid the library's chances, click the Share button to share the link with your Facebook Friends. Please help the Antlers Public Library in its endeavor to provide the resident's of Pushmataha County with a superior library. A place where residents gather for learning, for leisure, and for life.
