Edward L. Wright III was born November 7, 1961 in Dallas, TX., to Edward L. and Goldie (Gould) Wright II. He passed from this life on Saturday, October 29, 2011 in Antlers at the age of 49. Butch married Carla Teafatiller September 8, 2002 in Dallas, TX. He loved his wife madly. He was a spiritual man who sought the Lord every day. He enjoyed traveling, boating and riding motorcycles, especially his Harley Davidson. He also loved to fish and spent a lot of time outside with his horses and his favorite dog, Caesar. Butch loved playing with, and torturing his grandchildren and spending time with family and friends. Butch was preceded in death by his father: Edward L. Wright II; mother: Goldie (Gould) Wright; and a niece: Crystal Gladin. He is survived by his loving wife: Carla Teafatiller-Wright of Antlers; daughters: Angelica Lane Wright of Little Elm, TX, Jeana Johnson of Wylie, TX, Jennifer Kennedy of Murphy, TX, Judith Messer of Murphy, TX, Jeanette Gabbert of Plano, TX and Justine Conner of Little Elm, TX; son: Edward L. Wright IV of Anchorage, AK; thirteen grandchildren and one great grandchild that called him Papa Butch; brother: Michael E. Wright of Lyles, TN; sisters: Carol Neri of Estill Springs, TN, Debbie Wright of Winchester, TN, Cheryl Roberts of Tulahoma, TN; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as many other relatives and friends.Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at the Mills & Coffey Chapel in Antlers with Son-in-law: Jeff Johnson officiating and Remembrances by Family & Friends. Musical selections included: “Amazing Grace” Performed by Dereak Messer, “Some Beach,” “Good Life,” “All This Time” and “Angel.” Pallbearers were Jeff Johnson, Jerry Gabbert, Damon Connor, Jared Kennedy, Tommy McKee and Gary McKee. Interment followed at the Darwin Cemetery in the Darwin Community. Family and friends may send online condolences at www.millscoffey.com.
