Effie Lowetta Hatcher

Effie Lowetta Hatcher was born March 6, 1946 in Lawton, to Jim and Myrtle (Moses) McAlister. She passed from this life June 9, 2013 in Antlers, at the age of 67. Effie and James were married in 1961 in Gainesville, TX, and spent 52 years together. She received her GED and then went to beauty school. She was a beautician in Texas and Oklahoma. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, cooking and working crossword puzzles. Effie was preceded in death by her mother & father: Jim and Myrtle (Moses) McAlister; brothers: Audie, Onie, Billy and Bob Glen “Toppy”; sisters: Geraldine and a baby sister who died at birth. She is survived by her husband: James Hatcher of the home; sons: James Howard Hatcher and wife Bobbie of Gainesville, TX, Don Hatcher of Antlers; sister-in-law: Darlene Hatcher of Hennepin; brothers: Jessie McAlister of Marlow, Kenny McAlister and wife June of Duncan; sisters: Lourea Kirk and husband Kenneth of Marlow, Goldie Hand and husband Finis of Marlow; 6 grandchildren: Ryne and Vanessa Hatcher, Colby Hatcher, Seth Hatcher, Carlie Hatcher, Kelsey Hatcher; 2 great grandchildren: Hayes Clark and soon to arrive great grandson, courtesy of Ryne & Vanessa and as well as many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Friday, June 14, 2013 at 10:00am at the Roundup Cowboy Church. Officiating the service will be Reverend Todd Stevens. Pallbearers will be Seth Hatcher, Colby Hatcher, Steve Hatcher, Jackie Hatcher, Junior Gardner and Jake Wade. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jeremy Suggs and Ryne Hatcher. Interment will follow at Dela Cemetery in Antlers.
