Jeffie Marie Gibson was born August 26, 1926 in Corinne to John & Ida (Wesley) Taylor. She passed from this life June 5, 2011 in Antlers at the age of 84. Jeffie was a lifetime resident of Goodwater. She was Godâ€™s servant who attended the Goodwater United Methodist Church and enjoyed gardening, quilting, sewing, home canning, picking wild onions and digging snakeroots. She especially loved caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jeffie is preceded in death by her husband: Angelo Gibson; three sons: Haskell Thomas, Ted Thomas and Robert Thomas; two grandsons: Michael Baker and Collin Baker; a granddaughter: Megan James; parents: John & Ida Taylor; one sister: Ruby Taylor Billy; and one brother: Alton Taylor. She is survived by children: Reverend Rosa Baker & husband Melton of Idabel, Lora Tom & husband Albert of Sobol, Susie Roberts & husband Sammy of Goodwater, Elma Lamb of Little Oklahoma, and Jerry Thomas & wife Kelly of Corinne; 24 grandchildren; 59 great grandchildren; 24 great-great-grandchildren; two brothers: Wilson Taylor of Sobol and Edgar Taylor of Sobol; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at the Goodwater United Methodist Church. Musical selections included special music by Lyndon Crow and Choctaw Singers. Pallbearers included: Timmy Thomas, Theodore Thomas, Matthew Baker, Gary Miller, Jakus Woods and Dillion Woods. Honorary pallbearers were Jimmy Lamb and Abe Thomas.
