On Thursday & Friday, September 29th & 30th, a local resident competed in the United Kennel Club’s World Coonhound Championships in Wooster, Ohio.
Only the top 100 dogs from across the nation get invited to attend and participate in this event and Jody Goodson of Farris and his male Bluetick Hound, CH NITE CH ‘PR’ Goodson’s Rowdy Bocephus were among them. This was Goodson’s first time to ever attend this event and he and Bocephus did very well.
Goodson took home the High Scoring Bluetick Male, awarded by the Bluetick Breeders of America, and took 7th place over all for High Scoring blueticks.
Goodson works as a welding teacher over at the Kiamichi Bo Tech and lives out his days with his hound in Farris.
