Lucy Bell LeClair

Lucy Bell LeClair was born November 6, 1928 in North Liberty, IA to Charles Warren and Alice Tobitha (Jett) Bascom. She passed from this life May 28, 2011 in Tulsa at the age of 82. Lucy married Everrett Derby in 1948 in Illinois, and he passed away in 1966. She then married Alex LeClair in 1993 in Clayton. He passed from this life in 2002. Lucy was a member of the Jehovah’s witnesses for the majority of her life. She enjoyed cooking, completing puzzles, playing board games with her grandkids and quilting. She especially loved spending time with her family and friends. Lucy was preceded in death by her late husbands: Everrett Derby and Alex LeClair; two brothers: Toby Bascom and Homer Bascom; a sister: Dorothy Boyles; and a great grandson: Riley Harralson. She is survived by her children: Eilene Jones of Antlers, Marilyn Bengston of Independence, IA., Chuck Derby of Pocola, Judy Morgan & husband Dwayne of Antlers, Bill Derby & wife Twyla of Antlers, Robert Derby & wife Glenda of Antlers, Doug Derby & wife Sharon of Moyers, and Teresa Breshears & husband Troy of Antlers; grandchildren: Kortney Breshears, Clayton Breshears, Jonathan Derby, Alyssa Derby, Stephen Godwin, Daniel White, Dallas White, Tony Derby, Crystal McKaughn, , Shiela Knox, Kirk Close, Kevin Close, Kelly King, Kristine Tunnell, Holly Derby, Jennifer Johnson, Briana Moore, Jarrod Neese, Michael Derby, Stephen Derby, Shanessa Derby, Brenda Penman, and Donald Doyle; 20 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; one brother: Glenn Bascom of Vinton, IA.; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 2, 2011 at the Mills & Coffey Chapel in Antlers with Troy Hughes officiating. Musical selections will include: “God’s Promise of Paradise,” “Let Your Light Shine” and “Life Without End – At Last.” Pallbearers include: Doug Derby, Michael Derby, Jarod Neese, Tony Derby, Dallas White and Kevin Close. Honorary pallbearers are: Troy Breshears and Ricky Wright. Interment will follow at the Kosoma Cemetery in Kosoma. Family and friends may send online condolences at www.millscoffey.com.
