Mayor Declares Hospital Week in Antlers

On Friday, May 6, 2011 the new acting Mayor of Antlers, Mike Burrage, did his first official task in this position. Mayor Burrage declared the week of May 9th to May 15th to be Hospital Week in Antlers, to correlate with National Hospital Week that runs during the same week.

The proclamation read as follows: "Whereas the American Hospital Association has proclaimed May 9th through May 15th, 2011 as National Hospital Week with the theme "Champions of Care." And whereas individuals all across the country will be celebrating this time-honored event; And whereas the hard working people that compose out hospitals deserve universal regard and appreciation for keeping our community healthy; Be it known that one this 6th day of May, I, J. Michael Burrage, Mayor of the City of Antlers, do hereby declare May 9th through 15th, 2011, to be Hospital Week in Antlers, Oklahoma, and do urge residents to express their appreciation for the people, facilities and technologies that make the miracle of health care possible in our community.
