Parade rescheduled due to weather

December 5, 2013

The Christmas parade and firework display that was scheduled for Friday night, December 6, 2013, has been re-scheduled for Friday, December 13, 2013. The event was re-scheduled due to impending bad weather that is supposed to hit the area Thursday night and continue into Friday, making for undesirable conditions for the parade and fireworks.

“The weather is supposed to get really nasty late Thursday night and continue into Friday evening,” said Shaun Long, Pushmataha County Chamber of Commerce President. “We want everyone to be able to come to the events, and leave, safely and have a good time. All the events on Saturday, including the $1,000 drawing, will remain the same. The only things changing are the events scheduled for Friday night.”

Events that are still going to take place as originally scheduled include: Santa’s Workshop Friday and Saturday at the Fairgrounds in Antlers, Rudolph bingo from 3-4 p.m. on Saturda
