Rafe Sterling Settles

Rafe Sterling Settles was born November 13, 1984 in Paris, TX., to Robert and Vicki (Nabors) Settles. He passed from this life June 10, 2012 in Antlers at the age of 27. Rafe was a lifelong resident of Antlers. He most recently worked for Lectric Sun as a hair stylist. Rafe was of the Methodist faith and he enjoyed keeping up with friends and family on Facebook and hanging out with his friends. Rafe was preceded in death by his grandparents: Frog & Evalene Nabors, Jim Settles & Deana Settles Meier; uncle: Rowdy Settles. He is survived by his parents: Bob Settles & wife Liz of Antlers and Vicki Rust & husband Charles of Antlers; brothers: Zach Allen and Zeth Allen of Antlers, and Zack Reddell & wife Lindsey of Russellville, AR.; sisters: Amber Duncan & husband Charlie of Antlers, Jacy Perkins & husband Dustin of Antlers, and Savannah Rust of Poteau, & Maranda Rust of Emporia, KS; grandfather: Curtis Meier; uncle: Steve Nabors & wife Leah of Durant; aunt: Janet Rhea of Cove, AR; nieces: Zoe Green of Antlers & Logan Reddell of Russellville, AR; nephews: Keller Shockey of Antlers, Max Duncan of Antlers, & Cole Reddell of Russellville, AR; as well as many other relatives and friends. Family Night was held from 6:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at Mills & Coffey Chapel. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 14, 2012 at First United Methodist Church with Reverend Philip Beatty and Brent Franks officiating. Music will include: “So Far Away”, & “I Remember You”, with Lexi Rember as Pianist performing “It Is Well With My Soul”. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to: St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital at St. Jude Tribute Program, PO Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142.
