Substance abuse course to take place in Hugo for revoked or suspended licenses

The Level 1 Alcohol, Drug and Substance Abuse Course (A.D.S.A.C.), required to those who have had driving privileges suspended or revoked due to a DUI, DWI, APC or other drug/alcohol related misdemeanor or felony charge, will be presented by Kiamichi Council on Alcoholism and/or Other Drug Abuse, Inc. Individuals who have had only one alcohol or drug related drivers license suspension, prior to July 1, 2003, may attend the Level 1 course. Individuals, who were charged AFTER July 1, 2003, should contact Kiamichi Council prior to registering for the course. The course has a state-mandated fee of $150.00, and runs from 6:00 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings, in Hugo on July 25th, 26th and 27th at 308 E. Jefferson. Attendance is required for all three (3) sessions.

The next 24 Hour course for Level II and III, will begin at 6:00 p.m. on July 23, 2012 at 308 East Jefferson in Hugo. The state requires that this course be presented in two-hour sessions, two days each week, for six weeks. Cost for this course is $360.00. Kiamichi Council and staff are state-certified to administer the Alcohol, Drug, Substance Abuse Assessment/ Evaluation that is required prior ti the reinstatement of a suspended or revoked driver’s license. ADSAC (DUI) Assessment must be done prior to class attendance for those arrested after July 1, 2003. There is a separate fee for this service, also mandated by state law. Due to time restraints for assessors, Assessment Fees Must Be Paid In Full Before Appointment Can Be Scheduled.
