October 27, 2011

By Cary Ammons

Fall Break is upon us at Antlers Public Schools. October 20 & 21, Antlers Public Schools will be closed for classes. During this time, faculty encourages parents to spend time with their child to talk about grades, activities and upcoming events. Antlers Public Schools will have many activities planned for fall festivities. Some of them include football games, start of elementary basketball games, Band districts, School Carnival and many fundraising events. Please pay close attention to flyers sent home with students as to when these events will take place.

With fall break comes the start of the second nine weeks, it is hard to imagine that nine weeks has already come and gone. The second nine weeks will go by even faster due to the holidays and many extracurricular activities planned.

Antlers Public Schools wants and will be a place where our students come first. If you have any questions regarding your child’s progress, grades, or just have a question, please do not hesitate to speak to your child’s teacher.

Fall season in Antlers, Oklahoma has many wonderful things to do. We hope that you and your family take advantage of the many opportunities that the schools, town and community present.
