Susan Evelyn Glover

Susan Evelyn Glover was born October 6, 1918 in Mt. Ida, Arkansas to Rufus and Annie (Smith) Carter. She passed from this life September 4, 2012 in Antlers at the age of 93. Susan married Rhea Lewis Glover on January 16, 1943 in Austin, TX. She had lived in the Antlers community since that time. Susan was of the Pentecostal faith and she enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Susan was preceded in death by her husband: Rhea Lewis Glover; parents: Rufus & Annie Carter; and two sons: Leonard Glover & William "Bill" Elliot Rhea Glover. She is survived by her children: Monte Glover of Eufaula, and Sandra Powell of Oklahoma City; daughters-in-law: Mary Glover of Antlers and Gaylene Glover of Farris; numerous grandchildren; as well as many other relatives and friends. Graveside services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 6, 2012 at Antlers City Cemetery with Pastor Donny Day officiating. Music was “Amazing Grace” and “The Old Rugged Cross”. Honorary Pallbearers included: Leonard Glover, Jr., Sam Powell, and Scott Glover. Interment followed.Family and friends may send online condolences at www.millscoffey.com.
